At Shook we have the best staff. There are just four of us but it’s amazing what this small group can do. Well four humans and three dogs…
There’s Niv. He’s one of the co-founders of Shook and a computer programmer. On a personal note, Niv has helped me out a lot since I started working here. We often collaborate and brainstorm ideas together. His dog’s name is Luna and she is a beautiful husky.
Idan works closely with Niv, because he is also one of the co-fouders of Shook. Idan is a web-developer and ensures that Shook is working properly and is always up-to-date. He taught his dog Shimshon how to do some pretty cute tricks. Idan’s dog may be small, but that doesn’t stop Luna from playing with him!
Nitzan is our designer. He makes amazing graphics which allows our users to enjoy their experience with Shook more. He is the reason Shook looks this good! You can see his designs on Shook as well as the blog. His dog’s name is Laika and she loves to give high-fives! She is the quietest dog in the bunch but is so much fun to be around.
And then there’s me (Jackie), the newest employee at Shook. I am the social content manager; I do things like update the blog, Twitter, Facebook and maintain communication between users. I love working here because I love learning something new everyday. As for now, I’m the only one without a dog, although I am dog-sitting Adele in my apartment for the next month.
If you were wondering, there’s usually at least one dog per day in the office. If we’re lucky enough sometimes we have all three. We like to create a fun work environment. We usually have music playing in the background but today was a day where we listened to Call Me Maybe three times! (It’s going to be stuck in my head all day.)
Can you find the dog in this picture? Anyone know which dog this is?

Thanks for stopping by. I do not own or promote a business myself (though my daughter does!) but I am always on the lookout for people who like doing things the DIY way. I wish you and your group all the success in the world!
Hey thanks for stopping by my blog pages – Shook is a great idea, bringing ‘community’ back into commerce. Integrity and trust have just become trendy, manipulative marketing terms, so helping people to embody the real meaning is fantastic. Hope it goes well
Hi Jackie, thanks for liking my post on why men need space
Looks like you’ve got something pretty cool happening here – coming from an advertising background myself, I believe in dog and people-friendly environments. Keep up the great work!
thanks for stopping by wdafq, Jenny!
best of luck on your business ventures. Hope you enjoy the music !
Shook, eh? I’ll have to check it out! Great blog post, btw – anyone who likes dogs is okay in my book!
Sounds like an ideal fun environment to work in.. Since I have done programming too, I know how important it is not to have a depressing place to work in.. *winks*
This is inspiring me to pick up the books and get myself back up-to-date with programming..
Thanks for the visit and the like. 😄
Thanks for appreciating thereaderblog, Jackie! The second part of the Groucho quotation that I use in my title you probably know: “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.” Come back and visit sometime!
Thanks for visiting Tough Cookie Marketing Jackie!
Thanks for stopping in to hsquaredblog – love your great dogs ( people too). I have 2 great dogs and would love to work in a place like yours.
Hey Jackie, thanks for visiting and liking my post On Dream, Passion, and Talent
Enjoy your work and I wish you always success
God bless you..
Thanks for appreciating my blog article about “Black Thursday/Friday.” Wishing all four of you the best of luck, especially in a slogging economy. I respect a go-getting attitude! (btw, this happens to me, too, I saw “co-founders” missing an “n” in the Idan paragraph.) Sorry! This is no way detracts from a terrific get-acquainted article.
Thank you for liking my post “How Organic It Is!”
Jackie/Shook, dynamite idea. Like E-Bay? or better??? Thanks for liking my blog. Leave a comment sometime. Thanks. Charmaine

Dogs in the office?! My kinda place! Thanks for stopping by my blog….
Hello! Thanks so much for stopping by blog. And I like the introductions.
I’m allergic to fur, so no dogs here (I had a tortoise once!) but I enjoy seeing their cute faces onscreen. Best wishes to you and the staff.
Thanks fir stopping by my blog, The Still Spot, and liking my post, “worry, worry, worry, … What does it get you?”
Is that Shimshon’s nose I see sticking out from the edge of the couch seat?
Hi – thanks for visiting The Prancing Otter’s blog! The Otter believes in the power of animals in the office to improve creativity and dial down stress. Kira is our official office assistant – yes, a cat – but equally good at her duties!
My son has a similar job to yours in another company in Toronto. He’s good looking. Looks like the baseball player Roy Halliday.
Hey Jackie, thanks for stopping by my blog! OMG I love the Shook office — Filled with dog lovers and dogs!! What a special place for dogs and humans!!!
Thanks for your visit. You’re one of the first to, so thanks a lot. And good luck for your future. All of this looks amazing
